I feel good today.
Yesterday, we went to eat at Carson's ribs for my dad's birthday. Best dinner I've had all year. It was a good time. My mom and dad were talking, my sister and brother-in-law was there and my brother was being foolish. It was good. I had a half slab of ribs and bbq chicken. Soooo good. It came with a cheese potato thing and coleslaw. I ate some of my mom's NY strip steak. SO GOOD. It lifted our spirits after weeks of stress and sadness.
Today, I finally bought my glasses! I've been without glasses for over a year! It feels so good to see everything (especially driving at night)! My optometrist was very young. She looks like she just graduated from college but I found out she's 30 and married. She was giving me tips and sharing her life with me. To top it off, the nice Visionworks salesman waived my eye exam fee. We were talking about sports and somehow he told me, "yeah, I didn't charge you for your eye exam. It's cool." 2 glasses for $100. God is good.
Michael's arts and crafts store is closer to home now. I don't have to drive all the way to cicero to get stuff.
And I voted today.
